Graywhale
Graywhale Entertainment in Salt Lake City, Utah, is a beloved independent record store that has been serving the community since 1986. In this rebrand I wanted to give this local favorite a refresh, introducing new typography and illustration to speak to the welcoming and unique aesthetic of the store itself. I have made a word mark with unconventional ink trap placements to simulate the tail of a whale. The "G" has been replaced by a custom logo that doubles as a whale, and a vinyl record.
